THE GOOD MOTHER - RAE CAIRNS

'The Good Mother' was released by Rae as an indie title back in December 2020 and fast became a book many people were talking about. And when I read it, I understood why. I interviewed Rae in February 2021 and couldn't believe it was a debut. So propulsive, gripping and utterly heart-stopping, I was enthralled by this book.

In late 2021, this book was shortlisted in the best debut crime category of the Ned Kelly Awards later landing Rae a 2-book dealing with HarperCollins. 'The Good Mother' was re-released by HarperCollins earlier this year. And though I loved it the first time I read it, I loved it even more the second time.
