When Things Are Alive They Hum - Hannah Bent
Updated: Oct 26, 2021
A beautiful debut novel by Sydney-based Hannah Kent. Born and raised in Hong Kong, Hannah has drawn on her life there and her relationship with her sister Camilla, who lives with Down syndrome, to craft a memorable and exquisitely tender story.
Exploring themes of grief, love, sisterhood and existence, this novel brought me to tears.
I was lucky to have the chance to speak with Hannah about this book recently on the podcast. I can't wait to share it with you soon.
