I'm the kind of person who enjoys knowing I have events to look forward to. Weekends away, catch-ups with friends and family as well as supporting the many Aussie authors I know and love. To that end, 2024 is already shaping up to be a busy year FILLED with lots of wonderful bookish events for me to attend - both as a facilitator and a fan.
First cab off the rank is a wonderful evening with brilliant, fearless author, Mary-Lou Stephens on 29 February. Mary-Lou absolutely stole my heart with her debut novel 'The Last of the Apple Blossom' back in 2021. Since then, I have loved following Mary Lou's writing journey for her second novel, 'The Chocolate Factory' which is due to be released next month.
What's even better than getting to read the novel, is the chance to chat with Mary-Lou in person at one of my favourite Sydney bookstores, Better Read Than Dead in Newtown.
